Dana Pundt, soprano, was born and raised in a small East Texas town called Hog Eye (now known as Liberty City), where she was first exposed to opera through the fledgling company, Opera East Texas.
After high school, she went on to earn both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Vocal Performance at the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music. She has participated in several training and outreach programs, including Rising Star Singers of Indiana, Glimmerglass Opera, Opera Iowa / Des Moines Metro Opera, where she studied and performed roles such as Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute, Violetta in La Traviata, Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor, Melisande in Pelleas et Melisande, and Blanche in Dialogues of the Carmelites.
In addition to performing, she has been a finalist in several major vocal competitions, and looks forward to many more promising endeavors.
