Recipient of the First Audience Choice Award
Jennifer Juilfs, soprano, is a Texas native who received her Master of Music and Bachelor of Music from Louisiana State University. She has performed a variety of roles including, Kate Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Countess Ceprano in Rigoletto, and Micaëla in La Tragédie de Carmen, Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi, Cunegonde in Candide, Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute, and Pamina in The Magic Flute. Ms. Juilfs has also been the soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah, Bach’s Magnificat, Brahms’ Ein Deutches Requiem, and Mozart’s Litaniae Lauretanae. Ms. Juilfs has had the pleasure of being a young artist with Opéra Louisane, OPERA Iowa, Des Moines Metro Opera and Pensacola Opera. This spring, with Pensacola Opera, Ms. Juilfs is singing the roles of Lucy in The Telephone, and Poppea in L’incoronazione di Poppea.
