Opera singers have never had as much competition as they do today! This art form is one of the most demanding of “roles”. It requires countless hours of study for each singer to maximize their comprehension and learning of a growing number of scores, texts, languages as well as the development of a strong technique to secure the health and longevity of their glorious voices.
When singers commit themselves to a life in opera, their lives become filled with voice, language and acting lessons, travel to auditions, young artist programs and competitions… Even appropriate grooming and wardrobe for engagements can have a huge impact on whether or not singers will advance! All of these categories are costly not only financially but also time-wise to the eager and dedicated student!
