Hee-Pyoung Oh
Hee-Pyoung Oh, baritone and Native Korean, graduated from Korean National University of Arts, School of Music.
He came to University of Texas at El Paso last year and currently studies with Dr. Sang-In Han.
He won the Kwanju International Voice Competition, Korea (Daegu) Voice Competition and the Bimok Voice Competition in Korea.
He was winner of the NATS Competition Rio Grande Chapter (Adult Division 1st Place & Most promising singers Award).
Hee-Pyoung has numerous performed concert, oratorio, and opera roles such as Falstaff in FALSTAFF by Verdi, Maestro in “Prima musica poi le Parole” by Salieri and oratorio bass soloist such as “Massiah” by Händel, “Messe in G-dur/Jubelmesse” by Weber, “Coronation Mass” by Mozart, Cantata “BWV 106 (Actus tragicus) by Bach.
In the summer of 200, he has performed at the Seoul Internatioal Artsong Festival Concert.
Hee-Pyoung Oh is currently studying for his Master’s degree in performance at the University of Texas in El Paso.
